Waste and Impacts
Environmental Impacts
The only potential waste generated from this activity are excess fish tissue from sampling activities. This waste will be collected an incinerated in the authorized camp incinerator with domestic kitchen scraps immediately after sampling. Research activities are low impact, involving mostly foot surveys. Field crews will be ferried from camp to the work site by helicopter. There may be necessity to use boats or snow machines. Sensors and electronics will be removed at the completion of the study or reconfigured for monitoring purposes. All activities are based out of exploration camps for which there is a pre-existing land use permit and water use permit. All habitation and waste is handled under these pre-existing authorizations. Environmental Baseline field crews population are included as part of the existing land use permits are not in excess of the authorized habitation
