Project Description:
We would like to conduct a biodiversity study next summer near Cambridge Bay. Our main objective is to clarify plant biodiversity and microorganism biodiversity living in the tundra ecosystem. In addition, we also would like to clarify relashionshps between plant biodiversity, diversity of soil microorganism and environmental factors such as carbon dioxide flux from soil surface, soil carbon and nitrogen content.

Environmental Impacts
We would like to collect small amount of plants to investigate amout of plants per area. In addition, we also would like to collect small amount of soil sample to investigate biodiversity of soil microoraganism, carbon and nitrogen contents in the soil. After we collected plant and soil samples, we will restore the plase as much as possible.
