Project Description:
Canadian North Resources and Development Corp (CNRD) would like to request a renewal for Water License 2BE-FER1318 so to continue exploration of their mineral claims in the Ferguson Lake area. Water License 2BE-FER1318 is for the purpose of staking and prospecting, exploration, drilling, and fuel cache. The project purpose and conditions remain unchanged from this present license which will expire on December 11, 2018. The application and supporting documentation for the renewal has been sent directly to the Nunavut Water Board.
Summary of Modifications:
Request for amendment to 148903 to build an ice road/route from Baker Lake to the Ferguson Lake camp. Work is to be completed by Peter's Expediting Limited out of Baker Lake which will entail the overland transport of 120 barrels of fuel in two trips into the camp which will be stored in the lined permitted berm at the camp. In addition empty shipping containers will be towed into the camp to be loaded and used for the transport of waste materials stored at the camp out to Baker Lake. The waste material will be shipped south the following summer as directed by INAC , Land Administration office, Kivalliq. During this work, also under direction by INAC, a rock crusher which formally belonged to Starfield Resources and presently located about 100 kilometres west of Rankin Inlet will be retrieved and brought to the camp under LUP #N2013X0023 which has been extended to March 16, 2021.
