Type of application: Amendment
Proponent name: Garry Biles
Company: Canarc Resource Corp
Schedule:
Start Date: 2020-06-01
End Date: 2025-09-30
Operation Type: Seasonal
Project Description:
The proposed project would include a 2 to 4 person geological and geophysical exploration crew over the next 2 years, and/or a 5 person drilling team (3 drill crew and 2 geologists). Activities included are prospecting, mapping, sampling, geophysical surveys and diamond drilling with a handheld backpack diamond drill. The crew would mobilize to the various areas via Twin Otter on floats/skis or helicopter. Once at site the crew would establish a small, 2-3 tent camp and operate at a location. Any and all materials brought to site would be removed upon demobilization. Small quantities of gasoline would be used to run the generator for power in camp, and to supply power to the drill. Propane would be used for cooking on a small camp stove. Sewage and grey water would be buried onsite while all other waste would be removed from site. The bulk of the program is expected to run between June 15 and October 15 of each year with some short term work in between February 1 and Apr 30 as well.
Summary of Modifications:
In 2020 Canarc is proposing to conduct a 10 hole, 1,500 meter Reverse Circulation drilling program, consisting of seven 150 meter holes on the Swamp Zone, and three 150 meter holes on the Dryland Zone. The program also includes a 6.0 line-km ground magnetic survey, and collection of 175 soil samples, plus geological mapping and some rock sampling. The program is proposed to be based out of the Ennadai Lake Lodge and will be helicopter supported and is expected to take about tthree weeks to complete.

As per email discussion, the application is returned to the proponent so that s/he can revise the project end date, as this is a multi-year project but it is presently shown as a single-year project.

2020-03-27 13:14:31, from: Peter Scholz
The application is returned to the proponent on the basis that the details of the project indicate a requirement for a Class A Land Use Permit, while the application indicates only a Class B is required.
