Field surveys will be conducted by foot, boat and snow machine. All activities will have with helicopter support. Flights to and from Iqaluit will be by fixed wing aircraft. The majority of field activities will take place during the summer months of June, July and August although some studies like under ice water sampling will take place under frozen conditions. Additional research permits necessary to undertake the work will be obtained from relevant regulatory authorities such as the Government of Nunavut Department of Environment, Department of Fisheries and Oceans and Government of Nunavut Department of Culture and Heritage.
